Modelogix™

Building a conceptual model has become increasingly difficult as companies often rely on a variety of tools to store project data from Microsoft Excel® to various project management solutions.

One of the first systems to truly leverage a company’s project cost history is WinEstimator’s Modelogix cost modeling tool. Built using Microsoft SQL Server®, WinEst Modelogix pulls information authored in multiple cost tracking solutions such as Microsoft Excel, other professional estimating solutions and, of course, WinEstimator’s estimating solution. Data is stored and managed in a user-defined cost structure and readily accessible to company estimators, project managers, and business developers throughout the entire company.

During development of the initial project budget, users can rely on Modelogix to tap into a company’s estimate and cost history and search for work of similar type and scope. Modelogix allows the user to take advantage of an inflationary price index to adjust the costs to the date and location of the proposed project. Modelogix not only produces a budget proposal with drill down capabilities, the proposal can also contain the projects that were used in the development of the cost model. A proposal that contains the supporting projects makes the budget more defensible and at the same time demonstrates a companies’ ability to perform work on projects of similar scope.

Supports user defined "smart categories" which provides an organizational  structure for project cost history.

Allows any and all related project files to be attached to the project cost data, providing additional project details during the cost modeling process.

Provides detailed unit price analysis across all projects in search results, i.e., minimum unit price, maximum unit price, median unit price, unit price variance, and even standard deviation.
